Inauguration at Ex Teatro Verdi Ferrara

The physical event WS Wasting Safety was inaugurated on 25th June 2021 at Laboratorio Aperto Ferrara. Laboratorio Aperto Ferrara is a co-working space where technological innovation, research and culture merge together. For this vocation it has embraced WS project with great enthusiasm. The exhibition is patronage by the University of Ferrara, the Municipality of Ferrara, the Province of Ferrara, the Emilia Romagna Region, the European Union Development Fund, CGIL Ferrara and National Institute of Design India.

Set up at Ex Teatro Verdi

The set-up tells the process used for designing and manufacturing the PPE Kit for the Waste collectors. In the exhibition were presented prototypes, project sketches, images of context and researches.

Through VR visors visitors explored a 3D model of an existing Indian landfill. The landfill then became the main subject of the documentary "Pirana" kindly granted by Nainisha Dedhia student at the National Institute of Design, India.
