Most of the waste-collectors work on the ground , sitting in the waste they have to segregate. The person is mixed with the waste, the environment is unhealthy, toxic and dangerous. Most of the Indian women always wear their jewelry. Received as an inheritance from mother to daughter, a woman never separate from them. In the poorest layer of society, women wear their jewels even at work, even in landfills among waste. Without a safe place to store them, they can be stolen or lost.

Observing the habits of workers involved in the sorting of the waste, 90% are women, and the cultural and protective needs related to the geographical area, we designed the P.P.E. for the upper limbs. The gloves protect against dirt and abrasions; the modular sleeves enclose the bracelets worn by women. The thimble on the right hand helps the recognition of the materials during the selection and sorting phases. The waste-collectors in fact need touch barehand the plastic to understand the type of material and to be able to segregate it correctly. Only properly separated materials can be sold at full price.
